One-Quarter of World's Population Lacks Electricity

Replacing wood and coal with electricity could help reduce poverty and pollution. An estimated 79% of the people in the 3rd world have no access to electricity. The total number of individuals without electric power is put at about 1.5 billion, or a quarter of the world's population, concentrated mostly in Africa and southern Asia.

Sustainable
Remote Electrical Grids

Because of the difficulty in connecting rural inhabitants to the grid, small-scale, off the grid energy projects currently provide the most feasible way of bringing energy to people in remote areas, but achieving this on a large scale is difficult. eFootPrint's goal with private donation assistance is to put energy poverty behind us.

Energy poverty is one of the most important and devastating social issues of our time that has been neglected for too long, and bringing half of the world’s population out of energy poverty is an enormous task. Innovative policies are needed to bring energy to people who live away from the grid and financing is needed to implement those solutions.

If you  can find a way to help donate a remote energy system toward the the cause to cure Energy Poverty with eFootPrint Inc., please contact us.
