Solar Power Work Better
Greening Buildings one Building at a Time

Solar Energy
Sunlight is free and infinitely renewable. The sun's energy can
be captured to generate electricity or heat through a system of panels or
mirrors. Solar power converts the sun's energy into a pollution-free source of
heat, light and electricity. Thanks to technological leaps in solar panels,
solar power has become dramatically less expensive in the last few decades, and
is now spreading through the residential suburbs and into businesses, industry
and power plants.
Easily installable on the residential roof tops the flat panel
crazy may be enough for a residential homeowner. But large homeowners, small
business need to reduce the footprint and increase the productivity of the
units. This requires a different solar collector. Commercial concentrating
solar power plants have proven particularly effective, but solar power can be used
wherever the sun shines. Homeowners, farms and businesses across the country
are turning to solar to reduce their electric bills and/or heat their water
using a solar thermal collector. Many farms and businesses, with their open
acreage and/or large buildings, can install enough solar to pay their entire
electric bill.
Solar
powered electrical generation relies on active solar technologies capturing,
converting and harnessing the solar energy to provide distributed energy. Photovoltaic’s
(PV) is the primary method to convert solar energy to electricity. We have
found a USA based manufacturer that creates an advanced optics, Highly
Concentrated PV or (H-CPV) that is 1200:1 versus the standard 500:1 producing
over 38% efficiency. Coupled with a 2-Axis Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT)
is known to provide over 30% additional energy over flat system designs with
built-in tracking accuracy and calibration of 5 modules in the solar field
versus thousands for optimal field tracking and maximum solar collection.
